The staff are very well supported in their roles by the manager and have regular supervision and team meetings. Supervision is very detailed and covers staff welfare, their skills, training and development, safeguarding and outcomes for children. This high-quality supervision supports staff to reflect on and improve their care practice.

Training is up to date and the registered manager is aware of when training requires renewing. The manager ensures that staff have the right knowledge and skills to meet the child’s needs. Staff take part in regular reflection and team meetings. This helps to embed their learning into practice.

Ofsted, 2021

New staff receive very good support through their induction period. Staff go through a robust probationary review period, which allows the manager to monitor staff progress and identify any areas requiring improvement. Staff are well prepared to care for children.

Ofsted, 2021

The inspector noted the reflective nature of supervision and staff said they felt ‘valued’ and ‘supported’ by the manager. There is a culture of openness and warmth that replicates a home environment for the children to flourish in.
